DC Gold Cup Football Tournament begins in Lakshmipur with 10 teams

On Saturday (October 25) afternoon, the guests inaugurated the football tournament by releasing pigeons and balloons, symbols of peace, at the district stadium ground.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gold Cup Football Tournament-2025 has begun in Lakshmipur with 10 teams amidst colorful arrangements.

In the opening match, Ramgati Upazila played against Chandraganj Police Station XI of Sadar Upazila.

Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Sarkar was present as the chief guest and spoke, while special guest Superintendent of Police Md. Akhter Hossain, Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, Additional Deputy Commissioner Samrat Khisa.

Also present were Sadar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Jamshed Alam Rana, Ramgati Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Amjad Hossain, Sports Organizer Moin Uddin Chowdhury Kamru, Sports Organizer Abdur Rob Shamim, Senior Journalists A.H.M. Mostaqur Rahman and Saiful Islam Swapan, among others.
