


A special meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held in Naogaon. The meeting was held for two and a half hours at the meeting room of the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday, organized by the district administration.
The meeting discussed various issues including theft/robbery, road accidents, spread of drugs, illegal brick kilns and digging ponds by cutting soil, spreading rumors on social media (typhoid vaccination program), teenage gangs, eve-teasing, social security, religious incitement, fairs, Islamic mahfils, political meetings and the overall law and order situation in the district.
In the meeting, the participants gave their opinions and suggestions on how to prevent various criminal activities to maintain a peaceful and beautiful environment in Naogaon. The Deputy Commissioner of Naogaon gave strict instructions to the concerned departments to implement the various decisions and steps recorded in the meeting at the field level immediately.
In this meeting, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shafiul Sarwar highlighted the proportional rate of various criminal activities committed in the district in the last five years and told reporters that criminal activities have been much less in Naogaon this year compared to the whole country and the last five years. Therefore, the chief officer of the district police pledged to maintain the overall law and order situation in Naogaon in the future with the overall cooperation of everyone.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal, the heads of various departments, executive officers of all upazilas including Naogaon Sadar Upazila, media workers, political leaders, and representatives of the student community also spoke. In addition, the meeting was attended by civil surgeons, army officers, officers of the Narcotics Control Department, all members of the law and order committee, and United Press Club General Secretary Jayayadin newspaper district representative Ruhul Amin.
At the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal told reporters that there is no alternative to mutual cooperation between the administration, law enforcement agencies and people from all walks of life to make Naogaon district a safe, peaceful and development-oriented district. He urged the people of the district to find out the correct information and inform the concerned department instead of listening to unnecessary rumors.
The district's chief official requested every citizen of the district to play a responsible role in building a modern Naogaon and maintaining peace and order at every level by respecting the law.
