


The National Citizen Party (NCP) has officially announced the formation of a 10-member Election Steering Committee to spearhead its preparations for the upcoming 2026 national election.
The committee will be headed by NCP's Chief Coordinator, Nasiruddin Patwary. The key leadership appointments are: • Head: Nasiruddin Patwary (Chief Coordinator) • Secretary: Dr. Tasnim Jara (Senior Joint Member Secretary) The announcement was made via a press release issued on Monday night, signed by NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhter Hossen.
The other eight members appointed to the committee include a blend of senior officials and regional organizers: Senior Joint Convener: Ariful Islam Adib, Joint Conveners: Mahbub Alam Mahir, Khaled Saifullah, Ehtesham Haque, Joint Member Secretaries: Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Alauddin Mohammad, Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa, Advocate Humayra Noor, Regional Organizers: Saifullah Haidar (Joint Chief Organiser, Northern Region), Advocate Md Tarikul Islam (Joint Chief Coordinator and National Youth Force Convener)
According to the party's media release, the newly formed committee will oversee the NCP's comprehensive preparation and planning for the 2026 election.
