A new executive committee has been formed for the Teachers’ Council of Muksudpur Government College. Mahbub Hasan Babor, Head of the Department of Sociology, was unanimously elected as the General Secretary.

The election results were met with optimism from the faculty, who expect the new leadership to strengthen teachers' rights and improve the overall academic environment. Other key elected officials include Sushanta Kumar Mondal (Lecturer, Mathematics) as Joint General Secretary and Kutub Uddin Ahmed (Lecturer, Economics) as Treasurer.

By virtue of his position, the college Principal, Professor Md. Lutfor Rahman, serves as the President of the Teachers’ Council.

Upon his election, Mahbub Hasan Babor thanked his colleagues for their trust. "With everyone's cooperation, I aim to make this council more effective and dynamic," he stated, emphasizing the need for unity among staff.

Congratulations were extended by several prominent figures, including Md. Selimuzzaman Selim, MP for Gopalganj-1 and BNP National Executive Committee Joint Organizing Secretary. Muksudpur Press Club President Md. Chiru Mia and General Secretary Kazi Wahidul Islam also offered their best wishes to the new committee.

Stakeholders believe this new leadership will play a vital role in advancing the welfare of both teachers and students at the historic institution.
