


The 13th session of the National Parliament resumed on Sunday (March 29) at 3:00 PM following the Eid-ul-Fitr recess. The session marked a significant milestone as the newly appointed Deputy Speaker, Barrister Kayser Kamal, presided over the House for the first time.
During the 13-day break, a special committee held two meetings to review 133 ordinances. While the government and opposition reached a consensus to maintain or repeal 113 of these, 20 ordinances remain under dispute. The committee is expected to submit its final report by April 2, with a definitive parliamentary decision slated for April 11.

The current session is scheduled to include 50 hours of discussion regarding the President's address. This 13th session of the National Parliament will remain in progress until April 30.
