Opposition MPs Hold Strategy Meeting Ahead of Parliament Session

Opposition members of parliament held a meeting on Sunday morning ahead of the resumed session of the Parliament.

The meeting took place at 11:00 am in the opposition meeting room at the Parliament complex. It was chaired by Opposition Leader and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.

Among those present were Opposition Chief Whip and NCP Convener Nahid Islam, Opposition Whip Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, and other MPs.

According to meeting sources, discussions focused on the opposition’s position and strategy for the ongoing parliamentary session. Guidance was also provided to members on key issues to be raised.

The first session of the Parliament resumed on Sunday at 3:00 pm after a break.

The session had initially begun on March 12 but was adjourned until March 15 due to the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

The session is being presided over by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
