Interreligious dialogue and workshop were held in Lakshmipur. The meeting was held at the office of NGO Save at Mary House in Uttar Majupur area of the municipality on Wednesday (October 22) afternoon. Youth empowerment training was provided to the youth present.

With the financial support of the donor organization South Asia Forum for Freedom of Religion or Belief (SAFFoRB), the project called Safe and Inclusive Communities to Strengthening Interreligious Relations and Minority Protections in Bangladesh under the overall supervision of Social Action of Voluntary Effort (SAVE) has started its implementation in various places of Lakshmipur district from September this year.

The guests present at the Interreligious dialogue and workshop were Mr. Bonnie Rodricks, Executive Director of Social Action of Voluntary Effort (SAVE), Saiful Islam Swapan, Lakshmipur correspondent of Bangladesh Betar and Desh Television, the project coordinator, the organization's administrative officer, accountant, and Mr. Md. Atiqul Islam Chowdhury, Deputy Executive Director who was virtually involved, among others.

The guests at the training workshop said that non-communal consciousness should be developed. For ages, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and other ethnic groups have been living together in this country. Except for one or two unpleasant incidents, no major accidents have occurred in Bangladesh. This trend should be maintained. It should be remembered that we are human beings above religion and caste. We should move forward by maintaining good relations with everyone. The welfare of an individual or a country is not possible by belittling any religion or group.

He further said that a large portion of the country's youth is unemployed. If we want to provide them with employment. Timely training and technology-based skill development are essential. Currently, besides the government, various NGOs are providing training to the youth. Save NGO is providing training.
