


In a significant breakthrough, the Ishwardi police have recovered the firearm used in the killing of Banip Nato Baru Molla. The recovery was made during a specialized operation on Wednesday evening in the Laxmikunda Union of Pabna.
Following a one-hour operation led by Additional Superintendent of Police Pranab Kumar, police found a double-barreled gun and six rounds of ammunition.
The weapon was discovered inside a red-painted case, hidden in an abandoned house belonging to one Abdul Karmir in Kamalpur village.
Authorities confirmed that the accused, Zahurul Mollah, abandoned the weapon at the site while attempting to flee.
The recovery follows the arrest of the suspects on Tuesday (December 23). Police have been working rapidly to secure evidence in the case, and the retrieval of the murder weapon is expected to significantly strengthen the prosecution's case.
