UK Expatriate Bashir Ahmed Honored by Shantiganj Press Club

Md. Bashir Ahmed, a prominent UK-based expatriate and educationist, was awarded a special honorary memento by the Shantiganj Press Club in Sunamganj. The recognition was bestowed in honor of his significant contributions to social service and education within the community.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday (December 23) during the Press Club's annual dinner held at the Jehin Ahmed Academy. Hailing from Parbartipur village, Md. Bashir Ahmed is well-known for his philanthropic efforts in the Joykals Union.

The event was graced by Link Talukder (land donor family member), Press Club President Kazi Mohammad Jamirul Islam Momtaz, General Secretary Sohel Talukder, and several executive committee members.

The Press Club leadership praised Ahmed’s dedication to the welfare of the upazila, noting that his support remains a vital asset for local social development.
