


The newly elected leaders of the Shantiganj Press Club received a formal reception from the voluntary public welfare organization, Shantiganj Sachaton Nagorik Parishad, on Sunday.
The event took place at 2:00 PM at the Press Club's temporary office inside the Muktijoddha Complex at Shantiganj Bazar. The reception was organized under the guidance of Rezaul Kabir Jagirdar Raja, a UK-based industrialist and the founding chairman of the Parishad.
Joining the event virtually, Raja congratulated the newly elected journalists and emphasized the shared civic responsibilities of both organizations.
"We want the development of our society," Raja said during his address. "The Sachaton Nagorik Parishad was created for the welfare of the people, just as all members of the Press Club work for the betterment of the community. We will do our best to support the Press Club's growth and try to be a partner in its infrastructural development, InshaAllah."
Several key local figures and journalists spoke at the event. Addressing the gathering were Parishad Advisors Faridur Rahman Farid and Salib Noor Bachchu, President Md. Manjur Ali, and General Secretary Md. Situ Mia. Representing the journalists, newly elected Press Club Advisor Kazi Mohammad Jamirul Islam Momtaz and Press Club President Sohel Talukder also delivered speeches.
The gathering was attended by numerous Parishad officials, including Senior Vice President Faruk Mia and Vice President Ziaur Rahman Tuhin, as well as a strong turnout of Press Club members, including Senior Vice President MM Ilias Ali, General Secretary Hossain Ahmed, and Organizing Secretary Yakub Shahriar, among others.
