Shantiganj Samity Congratulates New Press Club Leaders

Shantiganj Samity Sylhet has extended its congratulations and best wishes to the newly formed executive committee of the Shantiganj Press Club.

In a joint statement issued on June 19, Md. Kabirul Islam (President of Shantiganj Samity Sylhet and prominent banker) and Emdadul Haque Swapan (Member Secretary of the Samity and General Secretary of the Greater Medina Market Businessmen’s Association) offered their warmest greetings to the newly elected Press Club President, Sohel Talukder, General Secretary Hossain Ahmed, and all newly elected committee leaders.

The Samity leaders emphasized the vital role of the media in local development and public awareness. "Journalists are the conscience of society, and the community relies heavily on their objective reporting," the statement read.

The leaders expressed optimism that the new committee would fulfill its duties with integrity, using journalism to highlight both the achievements and the challenges facing Shantiganj Upazila. They concluded by wishing the new leadership a successful tenure.
