


An anti-drug friendly cricket and volleyball tournament was organized in Faridpur on Wednesday to raise awareness among the youth about the dangers of narcotics.
The event was a joint initiative of the Faridpur District Administration and the Department of Narcotics Control, hosted in collaboration with Government Rajendra College.
The tournament was officially opened at 11:00 AM by releasing balloons and festoons. Contested between the Department of Political Science and the Department of Islamic History.
Played between the BNCC and the Rajendra College Rover Unit. The discussion was chaired by Shirin Akhter (Deputy Director, Narcotics Control) and attended by Mintu Biswas (Additional District Magistrate) as the chief guest.
During the discussion session, speakers emphasized that drug addiction not only destroys individuals but also threatens the fabric of society. They highlighted that engaging in sports is one of the most effective ways to prevent moral degradation and keep the youth away from harmful substances.
