Four Arrested with Foreign Liquor in Nalchiti

Jhalokati District Police arrested four individuals and seized a private car during a raid at a temporary check post on the Barisal-Khulna highway. The operation took place in the early hours of Wednesday at the Kalijira check post in Nalchiti Upazila.

During a search of a private vehicle, police recovered one liter of foreign liquor. The four individuals identified are Farhan (Mymensingh), Al Amin (Bogra), and Faruk Hossain (Jhalokati).

According to police statements, the suspects admitted they were traveling to Faruk’s residence in Jhalokati town at the time of the interception.

Ariful Alam, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nalchiti Police Station, confirmed that a case has been filed against the four men under the Narcotics Control Act. Following the initial processing, the suspects were sent to court for further legal proceedings.
