The incident occurred around 11:00 AM on Wednesday near the Tilarchar and Sabulla Sikder Dangi area.
The missing man has been identified as Arif Sheikh (46), son of Mujibar Sheikh from Alfadanga upazila. Arif, a father of three, was returning after unloading sand at the CNB Ghat port when the accident happened.
