Four days after the incident of the death of 7-year-old girl Ayesha Akhter after the door of the BNP leader's house was locked and burnt in the fire, a case has been registered in the police station.

On Tuesday (December 23) evening, the victim's father and BNP leader Belal Hossain filed the case at Lakshmipur Sadar Model Police Station as the plaintiff against unknown persons. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Model Police Station Wahid Parvez confirmed the matter at night.

BNP leader Belal Hossain is the co-organizing secretary of Bhabaniganj Union BNP of Sadar Upazila.

It is known that last Friday (December 19) the co-organizing secretary of Bhabaniganj Union BNP of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Belal Hossain was sleeping with his wife and children at his house in Charmansa area. At that time miscreants locked the door of the house and poured petrol and set it on fire. Instantly the fire spread all around.

Ayesha Akhtar, a sleeping child, was burnt to death. Belal Hossain and his two daughters were burnt. Later, the locals rescued the three people who were burnt and were admitted to Sadar Hospital. Bithi Akhtar and Smriti Akhtar were sent to Dhaka Burn Unit for better treatment as their condition worsened. Their condition is critical. Most of the bodies of the two were burnt.

On the other hand, the central BNP and other quarters have expressed their anger as the culprits have not been identified or arrested even after four days of the incident.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laxmipur Sadar Police Station Wahid Parvez said that Ayesha's father, who died in the house fire incident, has filed a case against BNP leader Belal Hossain. Some evidence has already been collected. Police are working to identify the real culprits of the incident.

Meanwhile, on the orders of BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury rushed to see Belal Hossain at Laxmipur Sadar Hospital. At that time, they handed over Tk 4 lakh to Belal Hossain on behalf of Tariq Rahman.

Later they went to Belal Hussain's house and spoke to Belal's wife. At this time, Annie assured them of full arrangements for treatment and house construction. During the visit, BNP leaders visited the grave of Belal's slain daughter Ayesha Akhtar.
