Faridpur Zilla School, one of the oldest educational institutions in the region, is set to begin a two-day festival tomorrow, Thursday (December 25), to celebrate its 185th anniversary and a grand reunion of former and current students.

The festival kicks off at 10:00 AM with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by a colorful procession through the city featuring horse-drawn carriages and festoons. The celebration will conclude on Friday night with a raffle draw and a live performance by the legendary rock artist James.

Founded in 1840 during the British era, the school has played a pivotal role in the region's education, culture, and social movements for nearly two centuries. Organizing Committee: A 21-member committee led by Convener Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Shamim and Member Secretary Wahid Mia Kuti. Organizers noted that the event has no external "Chief Guest." Instead, all past and present students are honored as the primary guests of the festival.

To showcase the school's rich heritage and bridge the gap between different generations of students.
