The Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) held its monthly welfare meeting for April today, Thursday (April 2), at the Dampara Police Lines multipurpose shed.

Presiding over the session, CMP Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali instructed officers to perform their duties with integrity and dedication. He issued a stern directive to crack down on theft, robbery, drug trafficking, and extortion. Notably, the Commissioner emphasized a "zero-tolerance" policy toward juvenile gangs and warned that political identities must not interfere with law enforcement actions.

During the meeting, the Commissioner addressed personal and professional grievances raised by police personnel, providing immediate solutions for several administrative issues.

The latter four officials were recently recognized for their promotion to the rank of Additional DIG.
