


The Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has undergone a departmental reshuffle. By order of CMP Commissioner Haseeb Aziz on Wednesday (March 25), seven inspectors, including three Officers-in-Charge (OCs), have been transferred to new posts.
According to the official order, Md. Abdul Karim, the current OC of Panchlaish Police Station, has been appointed as the new OC of Bayezid Bostami Police Station. He replaces Md. Jahedul Kabir, who has been moved to the City Tactical Special Branch (CTSB).
In a further swap, Khulshi Police Station OC Md. Jahedul Islam will now lead Panchlaish Police Station. Md. Arifur Rahman, previously stationed at CMP Police Lines, has been appointed as the new OC of Khulshi Police Station.
The Detective Branch (DB) also saw changes Mohammad Jamir Hossain Zia and Jasim Uddin have been moved from CMP Police Lines to DB-North and DB-South respectively. Additionally, Traffic Inspector Saifur Rahman has been posted to the City Gate Traffic Division.
The CMP Commissioner’s Office stated that these transfers were made in the public interest and are effective immediately.
