CMP Reshuffles Deputy Commissioners in Chittagong

Following a major reshuffle of officer-in-charge (OC) posts in the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), changes have also been made at the deputy police commissioner (DC) level.

According to an office order signed by CMP Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali on Thursday (June 18), Deputy Police Commissioner of the North Division Amirul Islam has been transferred to the Welfare and Force Branch as DC.

In his place, Deputy Police Commissioner of the Welfare and Force Branch Md. Hasan Mostafa Swapan has been appointed as the new DC of the North Division.

The same order also assigned Deputy Police Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) North Division Md. Habibur Rahman Prang as Deputy Police Commissioner of the South Division.

The office order stated that the transfers and postings took effect immediately in the public interest.

The latest changes come days after CMP carried out several rounds of reshuffles involving officer-in-charge positions at eight police stations.
