


Special prayer mahfil is being held in Gaibandha, organized by BNP and its affiliates and the general public, for the recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, just like in the rest of the country. In continuation of this, this prayer mahfil was held on Saturday after Zohar at the local Pilot High School and College grounds at the initiative of BNP in Saghata, Gaibandha.
The chief guest was the student leader of the 80s, DUCSUR AGS and VP of F Rahman Hall, Shafiqul Islam Tipu Mandal. The general public, including party leaders and activists, participated in the prayer mahfil.
The organizers said that the Saghata Upazila BNP organized this special prayer under the patronage of former student leader and DUCSUR AGS Shafiqul Islam Tipu Mandal for the recovery and long life of former Prime Minister BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, the undisputed leader of the country's independence, sovereignty and democracy. After the Zuhr prayers, people from different walks of life gathered at the Pilot High School ground. At this time, Maulvi Sadek Hasan recited the Holy Quran.
The prayer program, moderated by Upazila Jubo Dal convener Ahmed Kabir Shahin, was addressed by Upazila BNP convener Alhaj Mohammad Ali, Senior Joint Convener Abdul Moin Pradhan Labu, Jubo Dal Joint Convener Ranga Mandal, among others.
Speaking as the chief guest in the discussion of the prayer program, Shafiqul Islam Tipu Mandal said that no other party cherishes democracy except Khaleda Zia and BNP. Her survival is very important for the country and democracy. All Bangladeshis at home and abroad are concerned about Khaleda Zia's illness. Tipu Mandal seeks prayers from everyone, regardless of party affiliation, for this leader of democracy. The prayers are led by Maulana Harunar Rashid.
