Employees of various government offices in Pabna district have staged protest marches, human chains and rallies demanding the implementation of the 9th national pay scale from January 1, with the participation of employees of all government offices.

On Sunday (November 30) morning, government employees gathered in front of the Pabna Deputy Commissioner's office. A protest march started from there and entered the city via Zero Point and Abdul Hamid Road. During this, they circled the main roads of the city and formed a human chain in front of the Pabna Press Club. After the human chain, they again took out a protest march via Abdul Hamid Road and went to the Judge Court premises and again went to the Deputy Commissioner's office and ended with a short rally.

A government employee has to live on 8,000, 10,000 taka. The previous government did not increase our salary structure despite making assurances. If the 9th National Pay Scale is not implemented by December 30, a larger program will be announced.
