


Sonargaon University has been crowned champion of the Zia Inter-University T-10 Cricket Tournament after a dominant performance in the final. The tournament featured 32 public and private universities from across the country, concluding at the Mirpur City Club ground in the capital.
In the final showdown, Sonargaon University was sent to bat first after losing the toss. They posted a massive 172 runs in their allotted 10 overs. Chasing a target of 173, Fareast International University struggled to keep up with the required run rate, finishing at 124 for 5. Sonargaon University secured the title with a comprehensive 48-run victory.
Following the match, Aminul Haque—former national football captain and BNP’s Sports Affairs Secretary—handed over the championship trophy to winning captain Imran Hossain Jahir.
The event was attended by tournament chairman Zahed Parvez Chowdhury and Sonargaon University Trustee Board Advisor Azizul Bari Shipu. Sonargaon University student Hridoy Sarkar was named 'Man of the Match' for his outstanding performance.
Sonargaon University defeated Fareast International University in the final held at Mirpur City Club ground. The tournament featured 32 universities. Sonargaon scored 172/X (target 173) and won by 48 runs.
