The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has removed director M Najmul Islam from his position as chairman of the Finance Committee.
The decision, announced during a press conference on Thursday, comes after Najmul’s recent public comments regarding national players sparked significant backlash.
In an official statement, the BCB noted that the move was made in the "wider interest" of the organization. The board aims to maintain a stable environment and protect the professional relationship between the administration and the players.
While Najmul remains a director, his removal from the influential Finance Committee reflects the board's stance on maintaining decorum regarding public statements about the team.
