


A prayer meeting was held at the initiative of the Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities of Chandgaon, Mohra and Pachlaish areas of Chattogram for the repose of the soul of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
Ershad Ullah, convener of Chattogram Metropolitan BNP and BNP nominated candidate for Chattogram -8 constituency, was present as the chief guest at the event.
Sanjeeb Nath, resident editor of Bangladesh Bulletin, presided over the prayer meeting organized at 7 pm on Wednesday (January 14).
Dr. Mantosh Dhar, Professor Debrabrat Dewanji, JASAS leader Dolon Barua, former commissioner Azam, Khokon Barua were special guests at the event.
In addition, Jiban Barua, organizer of Chandgaon Thana Jubo Dal, as well as leaders and activists from various levels of BNP and its affiliates were present.
The speakers at the meeting remembered Begum Khaleda Zia's political life and her contribution to establishing democracy with deep respect. Ershad Ullah said that the main purpose of this prayer meeting is to strengthen the bond of friendship and harmony among all people regardless of religion and caste. We all have to work together to make the society free from corruption.
Our main goal is to free the country from corruption and give a beautiful society to the next generation. At this time, they prayed for the welfare of the country, nation and democracy and prayed together for the peace of Begum Khaleda Zia's soul.
