The disappearance of a 9-year-old girl in the Saral area of Paikgachha upazila of Khulna has created a sensation in the area. The name of the missing child is Mosh Iftia Sanjida (9). She is the daughter of Jibon Rahman Rana and a resident of Saral Ward No. 5.
According to family sources, the child went missing from the area adjacent to Saral The Rising School in Paikgachha upazila at around 8 am on Wednesday. Since then, the family members have searched various possible places including the houses of relatives and friends, but have not found any trace of her.
A general diary (GD) has been filed with Paikgachha police station, GD number 692.
The missing child's grandfather, Md. Bazlur Rahman, said that they are seeking the cooperation of law enforcement agencies to rescue the child quickly. In this regard, Paikgachha Police Station SI (Unarmed) Md. Aslam Ali Sheikh told reporters that a GD regarding the disappearance has been accepted and the matter is being investigated seriously. He said that the search operation is underway considering all possible aspects to rescue the child.
