


Swadhin Islam, who came from a remote village in Tushbhandar, Kaliganj Upazila, Lalmonirhat, is today a reliable leg spinner of the Bangladesh national Under-19 cricket team.
From regular practice at the Duronto Cricket Academy and experience playing in various cricket leagues in the village, Swadhin has gradually made his way to the Under-19 team through the district and divisional levels. With a combination of hard work and talent, he is now going to represent the country on the stage of the Under-19 World Cup.
Swadhin Islam's father Md. Majumal Haque is a farmer by profession. The success of this young cricketer, who came from an ordinary family and reached the international stage, has now become an inspiration to countless teenagers in the area.
Bangladesh's journey to the Under-19 World Cup will begin with the first match to be held in India on January 17.
