BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today asserted that the next national election must proceed strictly according to the schedule announced by the Chief Adviser. Speaking at a views-exchange meeting in Thakurgaon, he criticized those attempting to delay the polls, stating they are "afraid of the people's verdict."

Fakhrul also directed strong criticism towards former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, urging her to "return home and do politics" if she has the courage.

Focusing on public welfare, the Secretary General made significant pledges for the Thakurgaon region, promising the establishment of a university, a medical college, and an Export Processing Zone (EPZ). Furthermore, he highlighted the commitment of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to create one crore jobs within 15 months if the BNP comes to power. He concluded by urging attendees to "vote for the sheaf of paddy" to save the country.

The event, held at Bhaular Hat High School ground in Raipur union, was chaired by Raipur Union BNP President Tofazzal Hossain and saw a large turnout of local leaders, activists, and the general public.
