Nominations of 5 MP candidates Cancelled in Lakshmipur

The nomination papers of 5 candidates from 3 constituencies have been cancelled in the first phase of the 13th National Parliament election in Lakshmipur.

On Saturday (January 2) from 10 am to 1 pm, the Returning Officer S.M. Mehedi Hasan verified and cancelled the nomination papers at the conference room of the District Commissioner's Office.

The cancelled candidates are, Lakshmipur-(1) Former MP from Ramganj Assembly (independent candidate). M. Gofaran, Muslim League's Rezaul Karim and Islami Andolan's nominated candidate Zakir Hossain Patwari have had their nomination papers suspended.

Lakshmipur-(2) AB Party's Keba Bayat Ullah, Kalyan Party's Md. Farhad, Gana-Odhikar Parishad's Abul Bashar from Raipur constituency.

The nomination papers of JSD's Harun Rashid from Lakshmipur-(3) Sadar constituency have been cancelled.

The nomination papers of the candidates from Lakshmipur-(4) Ramgati-Malnagar constituency are scheduled to be scrutinized at around 3 pm today.
