Newly appointed Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that this inclusive election has been acceptable to all. He told reporters on Wednesday (January 18) on his first working day after forming the government at the Secretariat.
Asked whether the 'Awami League-free' election had been inclusive, he said, 'No, but everyone is saying nationally and internationally that it has been an inclusive election. And because it has been an inclusive election, today it has become acceptable to all, to all.'
Asked what the government's decision will be regarding the Awami League, the minister said, 'We will inform you about it later politically. We will inform you after the discussion of our government.’
When asked whether he would publish a white paper on the activities of the interim government, Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘There is no need. Because they took charge at a special moment. At that time, I think my party also thinks that they were able to do most of the work that was needed. What was the main problem? Transition to democracy. They have done that. So you must give credit to them. You have to give it. They have done a lot of good work.
