


The Bangladesh government has appointed new heads to 12 key state agencies, boards, and corporations for a one-year term. The Ministry of Public Administration issued the official contractual appointment notifications on July 23.
Eleven of the appointees will hold Grade-2 positions while Md Shamsul Alam has been named Additional Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat. To ensure public accountability all appointees must relinquish any current professional or business affiliations prior to taking office.
The newly appointed administrative heads are:
