


Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar exchanged greetings on Thursday during the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Manila, Philippines.
Dr. Rahman is currently in Manila leading the Bangladesh delegation at the 33rd ARF Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, an event that coincides with the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
Earlier on Wednesday, Dr. Rahman held high-level bilateral talks with his counterparts from the US, Russia, China, and Pakistan. According to diplomatic sources, these meetings focused on strengthening Bangladesh's diplomatic ties and exchanging views on economic cooperation trade investment and shared global concerns.
During the same forum India's Dr. Jaishankar also met with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.
