


Aleya Begum 44, former female vice chairman of Rajbari Sadar Upazila Parishad passed away from dengue fever early Thursday morning.
She died at approximately 5:00 am while undergoing treatment at Rajbari District Sadar Hospital. Aleya was the daughter of Khorshed Ali a resident of Bagmara village in the Mizanpur Union of Rajbari.
Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Abdul Hannan the Superintendent of Rajbari District Sadar Hospital confirmed the incident. According to hospital records she was admitted on Wednesday at around 12:30 pm with a severe fever. Subsequent medical tests confirmed she had contracted the dengue virus. Despite medical efforts with her condition deteriorated rapidly overnight.
In light of her tragic passing Dr. Hannan issued an urgent public health advisory and reminding citizens that the peak dengue season is currently underway.
