


To protect the environment the local organization Ban Bibi launched a tree-planting program in Paikgachha.
Advocate Shafiqul Islam Kochi a poet and member of the Paikgachha Lawyers Association, inaugurated the initiative on Thursday July 23 at 11 a.m. by planting saplings along a rural road in Hitampur village.
Attendees included Ban Bibi President Prakash Ghosh Bidhan, Saptadwipa Sahitya Parishad General Secretary Madhuri Rani Sadhu journalist Ahmed Ali Bacha, and social workers Suknath Pal and Kartik Bachar.
During the launch the group planted 30 saplings—including neem, kadam guava and hijal. Ban Bibi plans to distribute and plant more trees across various educational institutions in the upazila through the Bengali month of Bhadra.
