17 Senior Police Officers Sent into Compulsory Retirement

The Bangladesh government has sent 17 senior officers from the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) police cadre into compulsory retirement.

The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued an official gazette notification on Wednesday, signed by Senior Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury on the President's order. The directive was executed under Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018, and takes immediate effect in the public interest. All affected officers will receive their standard retirement benefits.

To improve readability, the retiring officers have been grouped by their respective departments: Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
