PSTU Signs MoU with Universitas Negeri Padang, Holds Seminar on Higher Education Opportunities

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), Indonesia along with a seminar titled "Opportunities and Prospects in Higher Education," was held at the university.

The event was organized by the Office of International Student Affairs on Tuesday (22 July) at 3:00 PM in the conference room of the Vice-Chancellor's Office. The program was moderated by Dr. Hachib Mohammad Tushar, Director of the Office of International Student Affairs of the university.

The chief guest of the event was Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan Vice-Chancellor of PSTU. Special guests included Professor Dr. Mohammad Atikur Rahman Registrar of the university Professor Dr. Yukifli Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Negeri Padang and Dr. Resti Febria Head of the Department of Agro-Industry. The program was chaired by Professor Dr. Khokon Hossain Director of the Research and Training Centre (RTC) of PSTU.

During the seminar Professor Dr. Yukifli said, "International academic collaboration between the two universities will be further strengthened through faculty and student exchange programs as well as joint research. This partnership will expand the scope of education and research at both institutions."

In his address as the chief guest Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan, Vice-Chancellor of PSTU, said, "This MoU marks the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the two universities. I am optimistic that both institutions will benefit equally in the future through faculty and student exchanges joint research and academic collaboration."

Researchers Roni Jarlis and Shanti Dianao from Universitas Negeri Padang were also present at the event. In addition deans of various faculties hall provosts the proctor heads of departments, faculty members and students of PSTU attended the program.
