The ban, signed by DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali, will take effect from Saturday, December 6, 2025, and remain in force until further notice. It is being implemented under Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance to ensure public order and the security of the Chief Adviser.

Activities strictly prohibited within the restricted zones include meetings, rallies, human chains, sit-ins, and processions. The specific restricted area surrounding the Chief Adviser's residence is defined by the perimeter between the Hotel InterContinental Crossing, Kakrail Mosque Crossing, Officers Club Crossing, and Mintu Road Crossing. Authorities have urged the public to comply with the directive for safety and stability.
