The Bangladesh government remains fully committed to implementing its 31-point reform agenda and the July Charter according to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir BNP Secretary General and Minister for Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives.

Speaking at a briefing on Monday following a dinner at the Jamuna state guesthouse, Fakhrul emphasized the administration's dedication to national unity. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman hosted the event—the first of its kind since the government’s formation five months ago—to exchange views with political allies who participated in the prolonged democratic movement.

Fakhrul described the gathering of allied leaders as a "new chapter" in Bangladesh's democratic journey and ongoing state reform. He paid deep tribute to the martyrs and those permanently injured during the July 2024 student-people uprising noting that their sacrifices ended authoritarianism and successfully restored a democratic environment in the country.

Highlighting the administration's focus on public welfare Fakhrul confirmed that Prime Minister Rahman will continue holding regular meetings with political allies. These ongoing dialogues aim to maintain national unity, advance structural reforms, and strengthen coordination on key political issues.
