Airfare for 2027 Hajj pilgrims cut Religious Affairs Minister

The government has reduced the airfare for Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims by Tk24,830 for the 2027 season setting the new fare at Tk130,000. Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad announced the change on Tuesday while unveiling the official 2027 Hajj packages at the Secretariat.

Two official Hajj packages have been approved to ease the financial burden on intending pilgrims. The minimum cost for the first package is Tk505,648 while the second package is priced at Tk615,263.

The minister also advised keeping the 1% backup accommodation rule to ensure smooth lodging management during the pilgrimage. Additional guidelines on Hajj registration and procedures will be issued soon.
