Outgoing Bangladesh Navy Chief Meets President

Outgoing Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan paid a farewell visit to President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban on Tuesday.

During the meeting Admiral Hassan briefed the president, who also serves as the supreme commander of the Armed Forces on the Bangladesh Navy's recent development activities and expressed gratitude for his cooperation.

President Shahabuddin thanked the outgoing Navy chief for his efficient service and praised his contributions to the force. The president expressed hope that the ongoing advancement of the Bangladesh Navy will continue.

Secretaries from the President's Office attended the meeting. Admiral Hassan is scheduled to hand over command to the new Chief of Naval Staff on 23 July.
