Latest Rates Per Bhori in Bangladesh

Gold prices in the local market have increased once again. On Tuesday, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,633 bringing the new rate to Tk 221,441 per bhori (11.664 grams).

This adjustment, which took effect at 10:00 am on Tuesday, was driven by a rise in the local cost of refined gold, known as tejabi sona.

Following the hike, the new prices per bhori are:

22-carat: Tk 221,441 21-carat: Tk 211,468 18-carat: Tk 181,608 Traditional gold: Tk 148,366

BAJUS has clarified that all published retail prices already include VAT. Customers cannot be charged VAT separately at jewellery outlets. However, making charges will still vary depending on the specific design of the jewellery. Standard regulations regarding the exchange and purchase of jewellery remain unchanged.
