Renowned fiction writer and senior journalist Imdadul Haq Milan has urged media personnel to work fearlessly and uphold truth and objectivity in their reporting.

The Ekushey Padak winner made these remarks during an exchange meeting with journalists at the Kaliganj Press Club office in Lalmonirhat on Friday afternoon.

Addressing the gathering, Milan highlighted the distinct challenges of rural and regional reporting. He encouraged local journalists to give voice to marginalized communities and play a constructive role in national development.

"Journalists must remain committed to truth and objectivity despite challenges, serving as a platform for the unrepresented" he said.

Chaired by Kaliganj Press Club President Anisur Rahman Ladla and conducted by General Secretary Golam Tahamidul Alam Titas, the event brought together media workers from five upazilas alongside local poets and writers.

At the conclusion of the event, the press club executives presented a commemorative crest to the eminent author in recognition of his contributions to Bangladeshi literature and journalism.
