Prime Minister Tarique Rahman hosted a courtesy meeting and dinner on Monday evening for leaders of 41 political parties that allied with the BNP during the simultaneous anti-fascist movement.

The event at the State Guest House Jamuna marked the first formal gathering between the Prime Minister and allied leaders since the BNP formed the government following its victory in the 13th parliamentary election on February 12.

Arriving at the venue's open courtyard at 7:27 pm, the Prime Minister went table to table to exchange greetings with the guests. He was accompanied by BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The formal program began at 7:40 pm with a recitation from the Holy Quran.

Describing the event as a reunion, Mirza Fakhrul noted, “We struggled together and our party Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman invited these leaders to exchange greetings in honor of that shared movement.”

Attendees included senior members of the BNP Standing Committee and the movement's liaison committee, alongside leaders from Ganatantra Mancha, 12-Party Alliance, Like-Minded Nationalist Alliance, Democratic Left Alliance, Islami Oikya Jote and other Islamic parties.
