


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Friday to check on an army officer critically injured in a recent training accident.
The officer was injured and two other soldiers were tragically killed on Wednesday during a tank firing drill conducted by the Bangladesh Army in Chattogram’s Hathazari. Following the incident injured officer was airlifted to CMH for advanced medical care.
Accompanied by Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman and Prime Minister spent time speaking with the officer’s family members also offering them words of comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
According to Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzuaddhowla premier directed hospital authorities to ensure the injured soldier receives the highest standard of treatment for a swift and full recovery.
The prime minister had previously expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of the two deceased soldiers and extended his heartfelt condolences to their grieving families.
