Iran is capable of sustaining a high-intensity war for at least six more months at its current scale, a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Sunday.
“The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are capable of continuing this intense war at its current pace for at least six months,” said IRGC spokesman Ali Mohammad Naini in a statement carried by the semi-official Fars News Agency.
The claim directly challenges recent assessments by US President Donald Trump, who has characterized the joint US-Israeli military campaign—dubbed "Operation Epic Fury"—as a decisive success. This week, Trump asserted that the coalition is winning by a "large margin" and claimed to have "crushed" the regime’s infrastructure following the February 28 strikes that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The IRGC remains the backbone of Iran’s military and political power. Beyond its elite combat roles, the organization maintains a vast grip on the nation’s economy, education system, and intelligence networks, making its resilience a central factor in the ongoing regional conflict.
