


The Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) and IT firm KAICOM Solutions signed a technical assistance agreement on April 30 to digitize the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) registration process.
As interest in the Japanese language grows across Bangladesh, this initiative aims to replace manual procedures with a streamlined, automated system. The signing took place at the JUAAB office in Dhaka.
Professor Dr. A. T. M. Zafrul Azam, JUAAB President and Treasurer of National University, signed on behalf of the association. Anjan Das, Founder and CEO of KAICOM, signed for the IT firm.
The ceremony was attended by prominent academics and JUAAB executive members, including Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Former JUAAB President, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Khan, Treasurer, University of Asia Pacific, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor, University of Asia Pacific.
Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Acting Director of Public Relations at National University, noted that JUAAB—a social organization of Japan-educated professionals—has long facilitated the JLPT in partnership with the Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan.
Stakeholders expect the new software solution to provide a faster, more user-friendly experience for thousands of applicants nationwide.
