


In the last match in Mirpur, New Zealand finally won. As a result, the three-match T20I series ended with a 1-1 equaliser between Bangladesh and New Zealand.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first in the Duckworth-Lewiss match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Despite the pressure at the beginning, the visitors finally reached the target with six wickets in hand.
Bangladesh started the match very well. The Tigers picked up four wickets in just 33 runs and put pressure on the opposition. However, Bevon Jacobs took control of the game. He ensured the team’s victory by playing a 62-run innings. He was assisted by Dean Foxcroft, who remained unbeaten by 15 runs.
Shariful Islam was brilliant for Bangladesh. He took three wickets with 19 runs. Sheikh Mehdi also took a wicket.
Earlier, Bangladesh did not make a big collection despite getting a good start to bat. The hosts went all out by 102 runs in 14.2 overs.
Captain Liton Das scored 26 runs in 17 balls. Tawhid Heart played a 33-run innings, but it was not enough to win.
For New Zealand, Josh Clarkson played an important role in bowling with three wickets with nine runs.
Due to rain, the fate of the series was decided by the last match, which ultimately equalised.
