Garikhali and Lata Win Gold Cup Football Titles in Paikgachha

Kumkhali Government Primary School (Garikhali) and Amulya Smriti Dhalai Government Primary School (Lata) emerged as champions in the girls' and boys' divisions respectively at the Upazila-level Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament.

The final matches took place on Monday afternoon at the Paikgachha Government College ground, drawing a large crowd of local sports enthusiasts and educators.

In a tightly contested opening match, Kumkhali Government Primary School faced off against Raduli Government Primary School. A decisive goal by student Eva secured a 1-0 victory for the Garikhali team, earning them the championship trophy.

The boys' final followed a similar script, with Amulya Smriti Dhalai Government Primary School taking on Raduli Government Primary School. Orin Mondal scored the lone goal of the match, leading the Lata team to a 1-0 win.

Following the games, the tournament recognized outstanding individual performances: Best Players: Athai Mondal and Orin Mondal. Top Scorers: Bushra Khatun and Arafat Rahman.

Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury attended as the chief guest and presented the trophies to the winning teams. He was joined by Upazila Education Officer Sanjay Debnath and other local officials who praised the students for their sportsmanship and athletic skill.
