At least 20 people were injured after a passenger bus veered off the road and fell into a ditch in Tungipara, Gopalganj, on Wednesday morning.

The accident took place between 10:30 am and 11:00 am in the Maleker Bazar area on the Gopalganj–Pirojpur regional highway. Witnesses and officials stated that the Dhaka-bound bus from Pirojpur lost control while trying to make way for another vehicle. A front tire reportedly burst during the maneuver, causing the vehicle to plunge into the roadside ditch.
