National Nutrition Week 2026 concluded in Paikgachha, Khulna, with a call to eliminate nutritional inequality and build a self-reliant Bangladesh. The closing and award ceremony took place Wednesday morning at the Upazila Health Complex auditorium.

The week-long program, which began on April 23, was a joint initiative of the Institute of Public Health Nutrition and the Upazila Health Department.

In her keynote speech, Dr. Ahmed emphasized that nutrition is the foundation of physical and mental growth. "Nutritious food is essential to boost immunity and maintain a healthy body. This week’s multi-faceted activities have successfully raised public awareness across the Upazila," she stated.

Special guests included Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shahjahan Ali Sheikh, Women Affairs Officer Reshma Akhter, and Resident Medical Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mondal. The event, moderated by Medical Officer Dr. Arnab Ghosh, concluded with guests distributing prizes to winners of essay writing, drawing, and quiz competitions.
