International Nurses Day Celebrated at Paikgachha Health Complex

International Nurses Day-2026 was observed at the Paikgachha Upazila Health Complex in Khulna on Tuesday morning with a colorful rally and a discussion meeting. Organized by the local nursing staff, the event followed this year’s global theme: “Our Nurses. Our Future. The Economic Power of Care.”

The program began with a procession throughout the hospital premises, followed by a formal meeting at the health complex.

Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, attended as the chief guest. In her address, she praised the vital role nurses play in the medical field. "Nurses are essential partners in healthcare. Their dedication and sacrifice in patient care continue to strengthen our health sector," she stated.

The event was attended by Health Assistant Baby Sardar, Statistician Jahangir Alam, and Senior Staff Nurses Rehena Parveen, Mousumi Fauzdar, Aarti Sardar, Pragya Moitra, and Monira Khatun, among other health workers.
